The legendary Rupin Pass is a high-altitude crossover trek that connects the untouched villages of Uttarakhand to the spectacular Kinnaur region of Himachal Pradesh. Rising to an altitude of 15,279 ft, this trail is a constantly changing canvas of dense pine forests, hanging villages, alpine meadows, glacial valleys and towering snow walls. What makes Rupin Pass extraordinary is its ever-evolving landscape. Each day reveals something dramatically different, from remote Himalayan hamlets and ancient wooden homes to the thunderous 1,500-ft Rupin Waterfall cascading beside your campsite. The climb through the famous Rupin Gully, often cutting through snowfields, is both demanding and deeply rewarding. This trek is known for its grand finale, a breathtaking pass crossing at sunrise, surrounded by sweeping views of snow-clad peaks and dramatic ridgelines. With a perfect mix of challenge, scenery, and adventure, Rupin Pass is a true Himalayan classic for trekkers seeking both thrill and beauty.
